Organization of the New Mexico National Guard

The New Mexico National Guard is comprised of the Army National Guard, Air National Guard and civilian directorates.

Together, these three entities work seamlessly to protect, defend and assist the citizens of New Mexico and abroad.

Our Team

Army National Guard

2,800 Soldiers Strong

The New Mexico Army National Guard is made up of approximately 2,800 Soldiers divided into units under the major commands of the Joint Forces Headquarters, 93rd Brigade, 111th MEB and 515th RTI.

Air National Guard

900 Airmen Strong

The New Mexico Air National Guard is made up of approximately 900 Airmen divided amongst the 150th SOW and REDHORSE.

Activities and Directorates

200 Civilians Strong

State Programs, USPFO, Directorate of Information Services, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, Family Programs, Civil Air Patrol, State Defense Force and numerous additional vital programs are under this umbrella.
